Simple Black and White

This was the first High Rise Hilton Hotel built in America, and Despite the Stock Market Crash in 1929, Construction continued and was finished in 1930. It was El Paso's tallest building until 1971 when it was succeeded by the Chase building. Elizabeth Taylor lived here in the penthouse after she had married Conrad Hilton's Son, NIcky Hilton. Henry C. Trost in the architect responsible for this and many other building in El Paso, Including the O.T. Bassett Tower, El Paso High School, and Many Buildings in the University of Texas at El Paso.
